Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Uncle Mike's Bake Shoppe ("Uncle Mike's", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information in our team app at app.unclemikesbakeshoppe.com (the "App") and in our two text message programs: Uncle Mike's Notifications, work alerts for our owners, managers and employees, and Uncle Mike's Receipts, text receipts for customers who ask for one and pickup order updates for customers who ask for them when they order online.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, work email address, the store you work at, your role, and your sign-in details.
- Mobile phone number: if you turn on text notifications, the mobile number you give us and your consent to receive texts.
- Notification settings: which notifications you've chosen to receive and how (email or text), and your replies to our texts (such as STOP or HELP).
- Work information: what you do in the App, such as orders, job postings, training progress and other records you create or update.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as your IP address and browser type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.
- Customers who ask for a text receipt: the mobile number you give us, the receipt for that purchase (store, items, totals and the card type and last 4 digits printed on the receipt), and a record of the request (when it was sent and which of our team members sent it).
- Customers who order pickup online (pickup.unclemikesbakeshoppe.com): your name, mobile number and order, and whether you checked the box to get texts about it. Your card is handled by our payment processor, Square; we never see or keep the card number.
How we use it
- To run the App and let you do your work in it.
- To send the email and text notifications you've turned on.
- To text a customer the receipt they asked for, and nothing else.
- To make a customer's pickup order, reach them about it, and, if they checked the box, text them when it's accepted and when it's ready.
- To keep the App secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To meet legal requirements.
Text messages
If you opt in, we use your mobile number only to send Uncle Mike's Notifications texts as described in our Terms & Conditions. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by turning text notifications off in the App.
If you ask for a text receipt, we use the mobile number you give us only to send that receipt (Uncle Mike's Receipts). We don't add you to any list and don't send marketing. Reply STOP to a receipt text and we won't text you receipts again.
If you check the box to get texts about a pickup order, we use your mobile number only to send that order's updates (Uncle Mike's Receipts): when the store accepts it and when it's ready. We don't add you to any list and don't send marketing. Reply STOP and we won't text you receipts or order updates again.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The sharing described below does not include text messaging opt-in data or consent.
When we share information
We don't sell personal information, and we never share it for marketing. Apart from text messaging opt-in data and consent, which are never shared, we share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the App (for example, hosting, sign-in and email), and only for that purpose.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our team members, customers and business.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. If you stop text notifications, we stop texting your number. Receipt links stop working after 90 days.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, sign-in and restricted access, to protect your information. No system or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text, or turn text notifications off in the App, to stop receiving texts.
- Change which notifications you get in the App's notification settings.
- Email us at info@unclemikesbakeshoppe.com to ask about, correct or delete the personal information we have about you.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
